Are All Women A Little Bisexual?
In A Word: No.
There is a long-standing stereotype that women’s sexuality is more fluid than that of men — also known as the “all woman are a little bisexual” theory. The thing that annoys me about this stereotype is that it plays into the (mostly male) fantasy that there is some secret code or enough alcohol that will convince otherwise comfortably straight women (who are obviously fooling themselves) to engage in sexual activity with other women, while comfortably straight men are just, you know, straight. Besides the fact that very little sexuality is black and white — witness my gay neighbor’s ostensibly “straight” dates coming by late at night, or the occasional sexual propositions I get at gay clubs, for instance — I also feel that it plays into this idea that you can “choose” your sexuality, that sexuality is a Pick-Your-Own-Adventure game and that women will be inspired or can be convinced to pick otherwise, which is really condescending. And, so, it doesn’t surprise me that either Salon or the New York Times articles about Dr. Meredith Chivers’ research into human arousal get it wrong.

Are all straight women bi-curious?
True confessions, girls: Have you ever wondered what it might be like to kiss the lips of another woman? Ever woken from a lusty dream about a lady lover? Ever secretly mused about being, you know, intimate, with a girlfriend? If you whispered yes to any of these questions, you might just be bi-curious.
But, what does it mean?
Let’s pretend you’d never in your whole life eaten anything but Italian food: Ziti, lasagna, manicotti — all perfectly tasty stuff. Nobody would raise an eyebrow if you eventually started wondering about the flavors of Indian, Chinese or French cuisine, right? So, a woman who’s been with men and only men her whole life might, after a point, develop a curiosity about what else is out there, erotically speaking. Would a female paramour have a whole new take on lovemaking? What’s it like to be in a romantic relationship with a woman? The bi-curious woman may choose to pursue her curiosities into the real world, or keep them tucked secretly into her own private fantasyland. It’s entirely up to her — and it’s nobody’s business but her own.

More than half of women are attracted to other women – and it gets more pronounced as they get older…
Most women are naturally bi-curious when it comes to sex, a new report has discovered. And what’s more, it becomes more pronounced the older they get.
In a study carried out by Boise State University found that out of a group of 484 heterosexual women, 60 per cent were sexually attracted to other women; 45 per cent had kissed a woman and 50 per cent had fantasies about the same sex.

Signs Your Girlfriend Is Bisexual
Scoring yourself a lady friend who also enjoys women can be an exciting journey — so long as you are both prepared to embark on it. Bisexuality obviously has its perks for some, and all the extra adventures can enhance your sex life. But she doesn’t have to be truly bisexual (in the most proper sense of the word) for the erotic feminine-loving side of her to emerge (with you present).
There are two versions of women who get it on with other women: the bisexual woman and the bi-curious woman. While bi-curious women are playful and ready to experiment with their sexuality just for fun, bisexual women may or may not be willing to ask you to join in on their girl-on-girl escapades.
